Went to have pancakes at Batter Fluffy Flaps because I was having a pancake fever for quite some time last year, after Strictly Pancakes. Went to BFF on 19 Sept, 2013, after my sister's tuition that night, since it was nearby (for her. I had to take the train and a shuttle bus.)
It's near i12 (I dunno, is that how you spell it..? srsly the typography is a riddle.) ANW, aka 112 Katong. There's a shuttle bus from Paya Lebar MRT. And after alighting at 112 Katong, you have to cross the road to the shophouses (from the main entrance of 112) and then turn left and walk down the street. You should pass by a few other food establishments, particularly a Thai steamboat (mookata, was it??) before arriving. Probably about 10 minutes, depending on your pace. The façade of BFF is a lovely pale sky blue, and there is a huge sheep mascot/statue right outside, so yup, cannot miss it. I wanted to take a photo with it but decided against it out of embarrassment lol.
On to the menu (which was very cutely designed, and I loved the overall interior decoration of the place)
How to order at BFF (ohyea, you take a seat, and then after deciding what you want to order, go up to the cashier and order/make payment at the same time.)
We ordered some drinks~ I forgot what I ordered, but I think it should be the Blended Chocolate Milk. The pink one probably the fruity smoothie.
Pancake has arrived! My sister ordered the one with kebab and she already starting digging into it before I could take a photo so here, have my "Top it, Drop it, Dot it". My sister saw it and told me I was gonna get a chocolate coma.
The pancakes are also pretty fluffy~ (thus the name, lol)

BFF has a Facebook page as well as a website which has their menu, so you can go check out the prices beforehand! I think Strictly Pancakes is about the same range....? (cannot remember)
Somewhat-of-a-review:
FOOD: Pancakes were fluffy, huge variety, I honestly couldn't choose what to get, tasted delicious, and not as heavy as Strictly Pancakes. I couldn't finish my pancakes at SP ): Feel damn wasted, but at least I could finish the ones at BFF!
Ambience: There were 2 annoying girls in the restaurant that night, so it was a really damper ==" The place is also quite small and sound travels pretty easily around the place (no dividers/walls) but it wasn't crowded, at all, like you could be the only one there if you came on the right date and time. Yeeeap. The whole place was very pretty too, so I liked it.
Price: Affordable... I guess? Omg I swear I'm damn cheapskate.
Location: Because it's at Katong, it's damn bloody annoying to go there, but I would say fairly accessible.
Service: Good, no complaints.
I think I got back my pancake fever recently, after seeing my friend go Strictly Pancakes for Valentine's Day (and then they went to another pancake place for White Day, lol), been wanting to go back BFF again....お金もない、時間もない。w

Went to Tsukada Nojo for dinner one day (Sept 8, 2013 ww) after wanting to try it out for SO LONG. My dad never had the patience to wait for a seat because we always ate at typical-dinnertime after his work so the restaurant was always full. But! I found out that there was a new outlet near his workplace~~ So I managed to get him to eat that with me, because I'd queue and he'll just walk over after I tell him there's a seat... huhu... #lifeofbeinghisdaughter #foreverqueueingfirst
Anyway!
This was our table. There's an induction cooker, condiments/seasoning, bowls and utensils/napkins~ The usual stuff for a Japanese restaurant.
The windows were something like a traditional Japanese room's sliding doors, but without the paper, so you can see the busy road below hoho (lol) The seating capacity of this outlet is about the same as Plaza Singapura's.
The waitresses actually wore yukata, and I think that's really cute, and also, service is superb over there.

We picked the standard set (min 2 ppl), if I remember correctly, and it came with prawn, aburaage, fish maw(?), radish, enoki, okra/ladies' finger and a bunch of leafy veges! There was also noodles to put in the nabe after everything's done cooking. (That's my practice: we cook all the ingredients first and then have the carbs last)
The special thing about Tsukado Nojo's hotpot is their Bijin Nabe, which is specially prepared chicken stock, condensed into jelly/gel form, that will slowly melt into a soup!
In about 5 minutes! After that, you can start cooking your ingredients! (Usually I throw the vegs in, then the meats)
They also served yuzu pepper to have with the nabe
After we were done, time to cook the noodles~
There was dessert after, I think it was a "service"/freebie. It was super cute with chocolate art on the plate, reminds me of maid cafes wwww (oi) It was just 2 pieces of chocolate (something of a pudding/panna cotta texture). Not bad. The chick was cute. Lol

I arrived at the restaurant at around 5:30-ish~6pm, and it was an hour (or half an hour, I cannot remember orz, I think the former) wait before we got a table. Oh, there is a dining time limit of 45minutes, and it is recommended that your full party be present before they will offer you a table. (doesn't matter if they come late, I guess, just means they have less time to eat :o) The crowd came in at around 7 ~ 7:30 that day, which was quite late compared to Plaza Singapura.
Anyway! Let me present my somewhat-of-a-rating:
Food: Very nice. I can't remember exact but it was just very nice. The soup was great.
Ambience: There wasn't many people, no noisy tables, lighting was pleasant, a nice place to eat at.
Price: Cannot remember. /hit Okay, expensive for non-working students lol (then again, that depends on how much allowance you get)
Location: Convenient~ Both outlets that I know of are near MRT stations. I would suggest checking out their Facebook to see if they have other locations.
Service: Very good, so good it was unexpected. Pretty high standard for a restaurant in SG, and expected of a Japanese restaurant I would say (though actually many restaurants in Japan prolly have normal service, just that the staff are nicer/more polite than in SG hurhur). And the uniform is so nice~
Ah, I wanna go there again, after blogging about it lol.

Hello!
So I spent my last weekend of 2013 at Cosfest Christmas and GE3 (for work)!
I went to Cosfest Christmas on 28 Dec (for the Cosplay Running Man!).
Had to report at 10:45am to register, then return later for the start of the event. At around 1plus, they began the random allocation of team members for the running man. They had a box with coscards and cards written with the cosplayers' names for those without coscards, submitted during registration. And the group leaders will just pick out one card at a time.
AND.
I got into YUEGENE FAY's group! So lucky! :D I've been a fan of her since 2008, when I first got into subculture, and my friend introduced YUEGENE's cosplay to me. Really happy to be able to see her in person and even take a photo and I GOT HER COSCARD homg.
So anyway, the cosplay running man had a bunch of missions and different amount of points are given for each mission completed and basically we choose which ones to do and had to take a group photo w every mission completed and upload on Cosfest's FB.
It was very fun. Though I kind of felt sorry(?), bad? for the regular shoppers in Bugis+ who were all definitely very bewildered by the cosplayers running around the mall.
JOJO was also very popular, and there were a few missions where you needed to do JOJO poses lol. There was one where you had to hold a JOJO pose (I think it's Jotaro's? the lean back with one hand pointing forward) for 45 seconds. My abs hurt later that night and I'm very sure it's bc of JOJO pose.
YUEGENE is a really friendly and nice person. Yup. Really like her. Hahas.
Also made a few friends at the event (my group mates la lol).
After the event, I had a short shoot for casual Saru (oh yeah, I went for the event in Fushimi Saruhiko cosplay) for a friend who just got to borrow a LEICA and decided to try it out. It was fun~
Also bumped into Shin that day, and he went around shooting people w a NERF gun. I got hit in the face below the lips. OW. And apparently he managed to hit a few other people too. (Sigh)

GE3!
So the next day, I had work with PIKA PIKA Maid Cafe. Basically, we were hired to be quest givers for their side quest during the event, where visitors had to complete a few tasks on this pamphlet they could get from the entrance or any one of us.
Upon completion of the quest, we gave them a stamp and different amount of stamps can award them different rewards!
We also had an exclamation headband to wear, lol, like an NPC indeed. It was a good experience, got to try out some of the quests myself!
It was a fulfilling weekend indeed! December was a very busy month for me but I had a lot of fun.

I'm finally updating on the Christmas shoot now!
Short background: Last-minute decided on a shoot for Christmas with Shin (decided on EOY lol), found a photog, and the date was:
Win right. HAHA. My Monday started with preparing to leave for KLIA, flying back to Singapore, getting past immigrations (which was crowded, but yessa automated clearance for citizens empty!) then waiting for luggage and then after hanging around because Mirai and Nanami went to Duty-Free to look around, before I decided I should just go on ahead because I really have to prep for my shoot so I did, and then reached home, freshened up a lil', prepped for cos, and then left house.
AND.
Shin is cannot be trusted de ok. Told him 7PM end up he 8PM then ready. omg. But I was late by 20min as well. But I still had to wait 40min for him and the thing is he started prepping from like 2?? *in utter disbelief*
But anywayyyy. Well that didn't bother me much la, cus I alr heard that he was late for his previous shoot that my friend helped out for and she was raging on Twitter lol. So kind of like, expected....
But anyway, while waiting for him, bumped into a photog friend! (We shot at ION btw, alot of ppl, very embarrassing. But it's okay, we're cosplayers.) Turned out there's another shoot going on nearby (Orchard area) and he was supposed to help out for them, but ended up staying with us haha.
At around 10plus or something?? the other group came over to ION, and at around 11pm, we asked them for a crossover shot~ Which I edited for Christmas upload~ Our photog was shocked when we told him we needed the photos by the next day lol... although I was pretty sure I did inform him beforehand... but he managed to send me the photos the next evening and I started editing. Really troubled him for that ^^;;
It was a fun shoot~ And really went on unexpectedly long. We were surprised when we learnt the time after finishing this scene we wanted to do. Didn't have many nice photos either ^^;; But well! It's like that.

Hello!
Finally, I'm updating with my Comic Fiesta experience.
I went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for Comic Fiesta last December with a couple of friends (one of them is Mirai, and you can read her blog entry here!)
It was my first time going to an event overseas, and it was very fun! Well, part of it was going out with my friends haha. We are all pretty mature people so it was alright staying in the same room for 3 nights. Our room did get very messy though, wig fibres everywhere, makeup, luggage and costumes hahaha. We felt bad for the person cleaning our room, but we didn't have time to pack up after changing into cos.
For the first day, I cosplayed Senbonzakura (千本桜) MEIKO (Vocaloid). Mirai was Miku, and we had a KAITO and Luka. We were searching for Rin and Len up to the day before departure haha. We did see a 2 solo Rin and Len though, and contemplated roping them in to walk around together wwww. I was expecting many more Senbonzakura cosplays, especially of Miku, but KAITO seemed to be very popular...
We went to sit in for the cosplay panel featuring stayxxx, YUEGENE FAY, Xrystal and Onnies. I was really excited for stayxxx because I really love the series she cosplays. Especially Tegami Bachi!! I really liked her Tegami Bachi cosplay and she came in that cosplay for the panel ;u; (I couldn't see much though bc we were sitting by the side and then managed to get a proper seat but still kena blocked) BUT IT'S ALRIGHT, because Studio Omoshiroi did a cosplay video of CF and it featured stayxxx!! Intense fangirling ensued when I watched the video.
I also bought a FREE! anthology doujinshi there, from Manda-chan. I saw it at AFA, decided not to buy, then EOY, also decided not to buy, THEN I see it at CF, come on man, 3 times alr, just get it. LOL.
After the panel, we decided to head back to our hotel actually. For both days we didn't stay very long at the event hall.

Day 2!
Day 2 was Ririchiyo from InuBoku SS. Supposed to have a Karuta, but she didn't go together with us so I was just solo-ing and walking with Mirai and Jim (Heel Siblings from Skip Beat!) Planned to go for livetune's panel, but didn't make it in time so we just walked around the artists' booths. I bought a net ball (Pokemon) badge =w=
Next year I must bring more money to buy doujin stuff. Saw a lot of nice thingggggssss ;_;
I really like my Ririchiyo cosplay, but I'm bad at looking good in photoshoots ;_; oh well.
Had a shoot with my Karuta in the hotel after leaving Comic Fiesta, and then it was off to dinner (in cos, lol)~
Ah, it was my birthday on CF Day 2 as well =w= It was a very good birthday spent. Though honestly I forgot it was my birthday and it was just a normal day for me. Honestly.

Shopped alot while in KL, some makeup, and also last-min half lashes for my MEIKO cos LOLOL bc my last pair died on me and I didn't have time to go buy it before flying.
The most expensive thing I bought was BURBERRY Brit Sheer perfume at KLIA duty-free shop (S$96). I busted like half of my ringgit that's why I was like broke after the first day orz. Regretted it. Should have bought in SG with my own money lol (but the ringgit is my dad's money, so I kinda like spent his money lol which I prefer to /hit)
Oh, ate a snowman doughnut from Dunkin' Donut in Changi Airport before departure. It was very cute. (lol)

Hello!!
So I forgot to blog about EOY last week, and that I would be going to CF in KL, and now I'm already back from both events, opps!
Anyway, short entry for EOY and teaser(?) for CF's entry.
EOY this year was held at Marina Barrage as well, on 15 Dec. I was working at the WACOM booth, so I had to be there at around 9:45am, I woke up late because my phone somehow turned itself off over the night and the alarm won't ring if it's off (I know right, how annoying, my old clamshell could do it.) but I woke up in time.. though I ended up having to take a taxi from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station.
I cosplayed Ririchiyo from InuBoku SS and IT WAS SO HOT I REGRETTED IT. My friend warned me the day before, during our shoot, but I could not change my cos because I already reported my character to Opehlia from EOY for the WACOM booth. But nevermind, I ended up scoring myself a shoot with a friend because he saw my Riri cos and told me he had a Soushi cos (which I already knew...) so we last-minute decided on a shoot lol. Um ya. LOL. Will update on that one after the CF ones. Gonna speed through all the posts.
Anyway, I'm always super anti-social and I hardly ask people for photos unless I really like the character/excited that there's a coser for that or I like the person's cosplay. I always end up kind of regretting it after a while though LOL. But I did take a photo with a Kongou from Kantai Collection crossplayerrr. Happy :D
Went through the art booths as well, and I got myself a luggage tag from Daiyaku~ It's really cute, and I immediately thought of bringing it to KL with me heehee. And since I go overseas pretty often too, I can use it then :D or when I bring luggage for cosplay.
Also managed to catch a friend, Suzume's performance on stage! Hmmmm. What else did I do.... I did hide in aircon during my break. And didn't eat much, except two cream puffs from BonJapan..... Hmmm. Yeah. Said hi to many friends too.
After the event, some of my friends stayed for the after-party, some went off for dinner, I also went home to have dinner~ It was my first EOY after the new committee, and it was fun. I hope they do change the location though, lol.

After EOY, it was off to Comic Fiesta! The days leading up to the departure were packed, washing clothes for cos, packing luggage, making prop~~ I didn't even sleep (ok 1 hour) the night before departure hurhur. We flew on Friday morning, so we had to arrive at around 7am at the airport. I decided to take a nap but my phone(!!) decided to be funny again and so I missed my original wakeup time but thank goodness I woke up in time gosh.
The first day we mainly shopped and walked around the area, spent most of my money then hurhur.
Bought makeup and the perfume I've been eyeing since really long!! I got Burberry Brit Sheer at KLIA Duty Free Shop, and it was waaaay cheaper than Singapore's SEPHORA.
Anyway, I shan't talk too much in this post, and create a new entry later for KL trip. We went to KL from 20 to 23 Dec, and Comic Fiesta was on 21 and 22 Dec! Will update the cosplay, and non-cosplay separately~
After coming back from CF, I had to rush off for a photoshoot (the last-min shoot lol) and so I will update on that later tooooo~

Here again with a post on my recent Lucky Star photoshoot with Terumi-chan!
We did it the shoot near the residence where Terumi is currently staying in. Terumi cosplayed Konata and I was pulled in last-minute (originally just wanted to saikang then she asked me to cosplay with her LOL!) so I managed to borrow the costume from a friend and cosplayed Kagami~
We didn't prepare much props. I brought a few manga/a novel, and borrowed the newspaper from the place :p Terumi also prepared a (ended up being inedible) chocolate coronet, by buying hotdog bread, because the bread was shaped like the coronet bun, and stuffed some chocolate cream in it.
Terumi also insisted on taking many shots with the coronet LOL.
The shoot was very laid-back and we had a lot of fun! I haven't gone around to editing much photos yet (only 2 for coscard and 1 which I just uploaded on facebook and world cos).
I think I'm getting worse at writing lol.
Anyway, I'll update again with some translations/notes/tips I recently learnt from COSMODE?
EOY is also coming this Sunday, and I will be going!

So a little over a week ago, I went to Vellus Hair Studio to get my hair dyed, and once more 5 days later for a re-touch and a cut!
They are located in Tanjong Pagar, about 5 minutes walk from the MRT Exit A. I don't have any directions, but you can hop over to Terumi's blog for her detailed review/experience (because I don't take a lot of photos) and pictured directions to the place! Just remember to exit from the right side of Exit A, the left is towards a completely different direction! (Well, it heads to 100AM?)

Anyway, Josie, the stylist, also very kindly straightened my hair with a flat iron the second visit, but I didn't take a photo.... But it was really nice. I want to get a flat iron... I want the Don Quixote flat iron/curling tong that POPTEEN collaborated with.

It was really good? The staff were really friendly and polite and yes the service was wowzers. Honestly, I'm really really bad/awkward at receiving service but they were so friendly about it.
During the second visit, it started thunderstorming(?? that's not a word) and there was a sudden clap of thunder. I was really caught off guard and surprised, but it was nothing big, but the manager actually came in a few moments later to ask me if I was all right! How conscientious is that!
Yep. The experience was really comfortable.

I'm finally back, and will start to write better entries! Or rather, try to keep to what I planned in the first place: Personal blog posts with lyrics here and there. I'm planning to upload some food intro/reviews soon.
Gonna finally watch some anime. All the anime I've been shelving aside since foreverrrr. And gotta go on a K marathon in preparation for my shoot, read through Skip Beat (Heel Siblings) because I'm shooting for my friend, and re-read Inu x Boku SS for my shoot in KL. And make windmills for Senbonzakura MEIKO.
I need contact lenses too. Ahh. My first shoot's in over a week. AH.
Hopefully I'll be productive omg.
Need to get a part-time to fund and save for cosplans. TT_TT I have a freaking huge list and crazyass elaborate costumes to make when I've never even touched a sewing machine before. Applause for my stupidity, perhaps, please.
My first costume's due in April. D: I don't know if I should go send for tailor instead. Maybe I should. It's almost a month's allowance though erk. And I need to make a hat for that too meep. Doubt the tailor will make it.
