Hello!
So I spent my last weekend of 2013 at Cosfest Christmas and GE3 (for work)!
I went to Cosfest Christmas on 28 Dec (for the Cosplay Running Man!).
Had to report at 10:45am to register, then return later for the start of the event. At around 1plus, they began the random allocation of team members for the running man. They had a box with coscards and cards written with the cosplayers' names for those without coscards, submitted during registration. And the group leaders will just pick out one card at a time.
AND.
I got into YUEGENE FAY's group! So lucky! :D I've been a fan of her since 2008, when I first got into subculture, and my friend introduced YUEGENE's cosplay to me. Really happy to be able to see her in person and even take a photo and I GOT HER COSCARD homg.
So anyway, the cosplay running man had a bunch of missions and different amount of points are given for each mission completed and basically we choose which ones to do and had to take a group photo w every mission completed and upload on Cosfest's FB.
It was very fun. Though I kind of felt sorry(?), bad? for the regular shoppers in Bugis+ who were all definitely very bewildered by the cosplayers running around the mall.
JOJO was also very popular, and there were a few missions where you needed to do JOJO poses lol. There was one where you had to hold a JOJO pose (I think it's Jotaro's? the lean back with one hand pointing forward) for 45 seconds. My abs hurt later that night and I'm very sure it's bc of JOJO pose.
YUEGENE is a really friendly and nice person. Yup. Really like her. Hahas.
Also made a few friends at the event (my group mates la lol).
After the event, I had a short shoot for casual Saru (oh yeah, I went for the event in Fushimi Saruhiko cosplay) for a friend who just got to borrow a LEICA and decided to try it out. It was fun~
Also bumped into Shin that day, and he went around shooting people w a NERF gun. I got hit in the face below the lips. OW. And apparently he managed to hit a few other people too. (Sigh)
---------------------------
GE3!
So the next day, I had work with PIKA PIKA Maid Cafe. Basically, we were hired to be quest givers for their side quest during the event, where visitors had to complete a few tasks on this pamphlet they could get from the entrance or any one of us.
Upon completion of the quest, we gave them a stamp and different amount of stamps can award them different rewards!
We also had an exclamation headband to wear, lol, like an NPC indeed. It was a good experience, got to try out some of the quests myself!
It was a fulfilling weekend indeed! December was a very busy month for me but I had a lot of fun.

Hello!
Finally, I'm updating with my Comic Fiesta experience.
I went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for Comic Fiesta last December with a couple of friends (one of them is Mirai, and you can read her blog entry here!)
It was my first time going to an event overseas, and it was very fun! Well, part of it was going out with my friends haha. We are all pretty mature people so it was alright staying in the same room for 3 nights. Our room did get very messy though, wig fibres everywhere, makeup, luggage and costumes hahaha. We felt bad for the person cleaning our room, but we didn't have time to pack up after changing into cos.
For the first day, I cosplayed Senbonzakura (千本桜) MEIKO (Vocaloid). Mirai was Miku, and we had a KAITO and Luka. We were searching for Rin and Len up to the day before departure haha. We did see a 2 solo Rin and Len though, and contemplated roping them in to walk around together wwww. I was expecting many more Senbonzakura cosplays, especially of Miku, but KAITO seemed to be very popular...
We went to sit in for the cosplay panel featuring stayxxx, YUEGENE FAY, Xrystal and Onnies. I was really excited for stayxxx because I really love the series she cosplays. Especially Tegami Bachi!! I really liked her Tegami Bachi cosplay and she came in that cosplay for the panel ;u; (I couldn't see much though bc we were sitting by the side and then managed to get a proper seat but still kena blocked) BUT IT'S ALRIGHT, because Studio Omoshiroi did a cosplay video of CF and it featured stayxxx!! Intense fangirling ensued when I watched the video.
I also bought a FREE! anthology doujinshi there, from Manda-chan. I saw it at AFA, decided not to buy, then EOY, also decided not to buy, THEN I see it at CF, come on man, 3 times alr, just get it. LOL.
After the panel, we decided to head back to our hotel actually. For both days we didn't stay very long at the event hall.
---------------------------
Day 2!
Day 2 was Ririchiyo from InuBoku SS. Supposed to have a Karuta, but she didn't go together with us so I was just solo-ing and walking with Mirai and Jim (Heel Siblings from Skip Beat!) Planned to go for livetune's panel, but didn't make it in time so we just walked around the artists' booths. I bought a net ball (Pokemon) badge =w=
Next year I must bring more money to buy doujin stuff. Saw a lot of nice thingggggssss ;_;
I really like my Ririchiyo cosplay, but I'm bad at looking good in photoshoots ;_; oh well.
Had a shoot with my Karuta in the hotel after leaving Comic Fiesta, and then it was off to dinner (in cos, lol)~
Ah, it was my birthday on CF Day 2 as well =w= It was a very good birthday spent. Though honestly I forgot it was my birthday and it was just a normal day for me. Honestly.
----------------------------
Shopped alot while in KL, some makeup, and also last-min half lashes for my MEIKO cos LOLOL bc my last pair died on me and I didn't have time to go buy it before flying.
The most expensive thing I bought was BURBERRY Brit Sheer perfume at KLIA duty-free shop (S$96). I busted like half of my ringgit that's why I was like broke after the first day orz. Regretted it. Should have bought in SG with my own money lol (but the ringgit is my dad's money, so I kinda like spent his money lol which I prefer to /hit)
Oh, ate a snowman doughnut from Dunkin' Donut in Changi Airport before departure. It was very cute. (lol)
I shall leave you with the snowman doughnut and end this post here!

Yahoo!
Here again with a post on my recent Lucky Star photoshoot with Terumi-chan!
We did it the shoot near the residence where Terumi is currently staying in. Terumi cosplayed Konata and I was pulled in last-minute (originally just wanted to saikang then she asked me to cosplay with her LOL!) so I managed to borrow the costume from a friend and cosplayed Kagami~
We didn't prepare much props. I brought a few manga/a novel, and borrowed the newspaper from the place :p Terumi also prepared a (ended up being inedible) chocolate coronet, by buying hotdog bread, because the bread was shaped like the coronet bun, and stuffed some chocolate cream in it.
Terumi also insisted on taking many shots with the coronet LOL.
The shoot was very laid-back and we had a lot of fun! I haven't gone around to editing much photos yet (only 2 for coscard and 1 which I just uploaded on facebook and world cos).
I think I'm getting worse at writing lol.
Anyway, I'll update again with some translations/notes/tips I recently learnt from COSMODE?
EOY is also coming this Sunday, and I will be going!

STGCC Day 2 post here yo.
SINGAPORE TOY GAME COMICS CONVENTION DAY 2 (SUNDAY/01 SEPTEMBER 2013)
Cosplay for Day 2 was Fushimi Saruhiko (K) spoon2Di poster military uniform version. YEEEEP. I saw the poster (and I do have it up on my wall) and decided I wanted to cos that. My costume wasn't very accurate (seeing as I own the A1 size poster, I do see the details) but since I was just camping and looking after bags (as mentioned in previous post here) I didn't mind going in that costume. I wasn't expecting to have photos taken, but I still brought some props just in case (LOL). The prop was a gun (and I have a toy gun from my Basket Army cosplay) and I also brought out Saru's knives.
Arrived at MBS at 10:30~11am because I woke up late. I went out in my wig, because I didn't want to flatten the styling. It was hard to put on make up later x,D Changed and put on make up in the toilets, then went to event hall. Because they didn't open Hall A for cosplayers, we found a corner to slack out the hall first. Mirai's photog friends came over to shoot Mirai, and then they also shot me! Wasn't expecting that at all! And most of them were photogs I already heard of from my friends or my friend's friends. I did see a friend Anthony (STILL COSTOGRAPHY) later on though, but didn't manage to get a shoot with him.
It was a super new experience for me (no shoot experience at all. Or at least, solo, because last year STGCC Basket Army we one whole team got a lot of photogs, even got photog walls lol, but that was easy, because I had the same expression: a frown. /hit) But for Fushimi I had to look slightly 狂ってる(??omg I can't find a suitable English word) somewhat like the "yan" in "yandere"? so it was harder to do a good expression. And my expression ended up being the same the whole day lol TTuTT The photogs were all very nice people =w= and I got some really nice photos and I'm so happy for that. Alot of people (by my standards) asked for photos as well (of and with me) so happy~~ And there were many cute/good incidents from that.
I actually spotted a Homra Saru in Hall A (they opened it up at around 12:30?) when camping and I was like "Ehh Homra-hiko! So cute" but obviously I couldn't move lol. Plus I was actually really shy about asking other people to take photos with ie zipai because I DIDN'T KNOW THAT PEOPLE DID THAT. I sound like I'm really out of date right. Yes I am. (anti-social girl. Half a decade in the hobby but knows so little people. Which is why I'm very thankful for KiraCandy /digress)
Anyway, I saw her walking around Hall A la, but I just stayed where I was, and then later she came over (with her friends, cosplaying different series) and asked for a photo with me!! Wah I was so surprised and super honoured okay!! We exchanged a few lines, and then just nice this photog came over and asked for a photo. Hoho Homra-hiko and military uniform Saru. It was a nice experience, because it's like so impromptu and then you pose for a photo with someone you just met like 10 seconds ago ROFL. She was also quite good with her cosplay. =w=
I went to walk around the event hall later, because I wanted redjuice's autograph, so I went to his booth (and Mirai's boyfriend was working there. Geez all the lobangs he gets) and got a postcard (and all the artbooks were sold out anyway so I couldn't get them even if I wanted to). I returned later around 4 plus (redjuice's walk of fame was at 5PM but I went to check if a queue line has formed.) and 5. One of the times I went back, these 3 girls actually ran up to me (from the back, and they were saying "excuse me!" and I saw them running towards me when I turned omggg (/w/)) and asked for a photo! And they were so adorable okay haha. I think they may be Lower Sec age? Not sure haha.
When I was sitting in Hall A, there was this family slacking nearby too (I think the dad is a photog, so they brought the kids over. AND THEY WERE SO CUTE. And the son is only probably about 4,5? and his dad entrusts him with a DSLR and he actually has the flair. Not bad.) So this older sister (well she looked older) asked for a photo with me and SHE WAS SO CUTE LA OMG. And then the brother took the shot. He shot twice, then the girl went off, but he continued to shoot omg so cute can hahaha. I ended up didn't know what to do so omg I think I was super OOC, but hey man, it's a lil kid la just do something for fun lor haha. The mum thanked me later on, but it was really nothing.
Another random thing was that this guy asked for a photo and I obliged (he bowed 90degree later on omg and held it. wanted to return the favour but it was a bit hard to bow that low in my outfit + later my hat drop off lol), THEN, when I was about to sit, this photog gave me a signal la, and he was actually 5? metres away, and just shot me from where I was haha. He was also quite a nice guy. Don't really remember his face though. I suck at that.
OH OH. And sometime around 2-3pm, Mirai's friend came over to say hi and have a chat, and I decided to eat my canned tuna while listening to them talk, and then. This Caucasian guy walked by and took a photo LOLOL. I was offended at first la, obviously, because hello, eating canned tuna lika unglam only can. Plus people talking leh. Still got flash somemore. So Mirai's friend said that he could ask for a photo and we'd pose for him, and his reply was, "....it's alright to shoot you guys like that, eating and all; a candid shot..." I was like "okay.....*sweatdrop*" srsly. LOL cannot even be offended hahah.
Around 6pm I was walking around Hall A looking for a friend, then this girl asked for photo with me uwaa. She was really excited(? well it seemed like to me) and she asked to confirm if I was cosplaying Fushimi and she said I "look[ed] really really good". omg!!! *shy shy shy* I was really surprised and then she and her 2 friends also took pictures of me.
And she asked for a coscard! (actually quite a few asked for it over the day as well) BUT I has none. TT_TT I didn't make a coscard because I had no cosplay to print a coscard of, and also I didn't have a page (and I don't really fancy adding everyone on FB since my FB is more of "People I know in RL") and no WorldCos (I do have a CURE but it's not a cosplayer account yet uhu) so yeah. SADLY. I was so so so apologetic and felt so bad leh!! I feel so sorry to all the lovely people who asked for it ;_;
After that last round around Hall A, I went back, and. SAW THIS FREAKING GOOD LOOKING SEBASTIAN (Kuroshitsuji) NEAR WHERE WE WERE CAMPING. LIKE REALLY. GOOD. REALLY. I immediately spazzed to Mirai, and her friend, who were next to me at that time. Srsly. I was saying I wanted to take a photo with him so bad, and he's damn good looking LOL. Gosh now thinking about it, that's really.... out of character (LOL!!!) for me! Usually I don't show this side of me to people hahaha. Yeah anyway I ended up asking for a photo. It's on my Instagram. Also had a quick chat with him and. HE ONLY STARTED COSPLAYING LESS THAN HALF A YEAR AGO WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. F. And his make up is. omggg. I really cannot stand people who draw the eyes damn well okay *hot tears* Like draw on double eyelid crease. Actually that's the only thing I haven't tried to do. I keep forgetting to buy brown eye liner. (ettusais gonna release gel automatic liner, so I'm gonna get theirs) Oh, and he's damn tall. Yup. 惚れました
------------------------
This entry is getting so long I don't even lol. But I just want to remember all the happy first-time experiences and memories!! So many lovely people.
EVENT HIGHLIGHT:
redjuice autograph session you don't say. And I managed to speak in Japanese with him for abit!! Damn happy. Because last year when PIKO came I couldn't squeeze out a word except thank you at the end because he had this whole entourage (being a singer and all) and it was like. damn nervous la.
So I told redjuice that because the artbooks were sold out (and I was super kuyashii over it) so I could only buy the postcard (and he said it was alright, like in the manner he didn't expect everyone to buy artbook, like yeah) and then told him I followed him on pixiv and he said thank you in such a grateful/humble manner omggg!! Japanese people. And yes, I said it in son-keigo. Below is what I said: (I did say ano ano and he was so nice, he listened to me and I was like, omg you can just sign while I struggle over my Japanese LOL)
"悔しいですが、イラスト本は完売されました。(はい、そうです*x sign*)だから、ポストカードしか買えなかった(あっ、それは大丈夫です!)pixivでもredjuiceさんのpixivをフォローさせて頂きます!(あっ、ありがとうございます!)"
Srsly, I can't. He's like a DAMN NICE PERSON. I DON'T EVEN. DAMN NICE. I really wanted to tell him I follow him on pixiv because it's easier than saying I've been a fan for very long (lol). Plus he actually doesn't publicise his pixiv nowadays (not sure when he stopped it) so it's kinda easy to tell if you've been a long fan. He was one of the first few people I followed. I think 3rd or 4th, aside from pixiv management lol.
YEAH. I LOVE redjuice. Was really excited when I heard STGCC bringing him over y'know!
Oh, so I got a photo w/ him (so rare that Japanese people will allow photos; last year PIKO's was no pictures nor recording... but maybe cus he's an artiste under management..) and I was super happy. Spazzed on Insta later hahaha.
After the event, Mirai and I headed to redjuice's booth to wait for Jimu, and we saw redjuice again~~ He wrote on the booth's wall and I insta-ed it. Later on I managed to talk to him again, and I told him that I really love his art style "こんばんは、さっきの軍服コスをしたんです。(he rmb me! or at least I would like to think, plus I think I was the only military uniform coser so yeah.)redjuiceさんの絵柄が憧れです!" AND HE WAS SUPER HUMBLE ABOUT IT HE SAID ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU IN THE MOST GRATEFUL IDE MANNER. (I also left a comment on his pixiv this evening after he uploaded the STGCC livepaint, but didn't say who I was la)
Damn happy la srsly. This is also why I'm so event-high. HAHA If I didn't go for Day 2 I think I wouldn't be so high lor LOL.
Really had a lot of fun. Had alot of good experiences. Experienced alot of things for the first time!!
Okok. Oh, and Mirai cosplayed Fate from Nanoha (whoo) and Hime cosplayed Marceline from Adventure Time with Toshiro as Marshall.
AH. Saw Ryuto-kun at the event too. It was quite funny, how we met that day. Basically we were still outside the event hall, and I was sitting down looking after the bags, and then I noticed someone approaching in my direction. Looked up and saw it was Ryuto! HAHAH. And then she was like "Eh!" then told her friend "Ya it's my friend" LOL. Got chided abit cus I didn't tell her I was gonna cosplay military uniform Saru x,D Gomen, Ryuto! She wanted to cos this version as well. Btw she was doing child!Noctis that day. I think she was probably walking towards me because she saw a military Saru then wondered if it was me after getting closer.
Okok this post is getting too wordy! Sorry to hurt your eyes! D: It's mainly for my memories, so sorry orz
Will be updating a new post with new make up purchases recently, and also generally what books I got over the last month or so. ((:

Yosha yosha, STGCC weekend ended on Sunday (and it is already Wednesday) and it has been a tiring but fun-filled weekend. It has been fun prepping and getting excited for STGCC and now it's back to studying real hard. I'm currently a little event-high now, so hopefully this high will push me through my hardcore study.
でわ!
誰のコスしてたの?
伏見猿比古です!愛しいサルくんのコスしてました。
I cosplayed Fushimi Saruhiko (from K) for both days, but different versions. Initially I didn't plan on going Day 2, seeing as my outfit for Day 2 wasn't very accurate and I was still lacking some other preps but some of my friends were going Day 2 only, so I thought I'd go and say hi to them... Actually the whole thing came about because two of my friends, Hime and Mirai, were planning to meet up early and prepare for cosplay so I ended up joining haha. The comment thread for that FB status ended up being very long x,D
So the plan was I'd be slacking/camping in one corner, looking after all the bags while studying and everyone goes to have fun/frolic around. Which is why I didn't mind going in my second cosplay even though it was not to the accuracy I liked. But this is Day 2 details, so I will save that for later, and go into Day 1 first! (Will blog separate posts for both days, to reduce length lol)
---------------------------------------
SINGAPORE TOY GAME COMICS CONVENTION DAY 1 (SATURDAY/31 AUGUST 2013)
Cosplay: Fushimi Saruhiko (K), SCEPTRE 4 uniform. (My friend cosplayed Yata Misaki)
Highlight:
redjuice's stage segment!! I have been a fan of redjuice's artwork since 2010? Which isn't painfully long, but at least I didn't start from Guilty Crown /hit.
He did a live painting on his gear (that he courier-ed over from Japan homg. Everything. The computer and the tablet, which is a Cintiq btw, and a whole bunch of wires) on stage! He did the sketch/rough lines first, as you know, it's impossible to draw from scratch in 90 minutes, especially after you see the end work. So the live painting started from tracing the lineart, then it moved on to painting and them he did some rendering and effects.
He uploaded the full artwork on both his FB and pixiv: FB link here
Won't link pixiv because you can't see it if you don't have a pixiv account, whereas FB all can view, so yeah.
It was really really cool watching it live okay. I was just awed. Okay, I did end up spacing out during some parts of the session because I was really tired but I did watch it to the end and it was awesome. Words cannot describe.
Day 1 was a really short day because I only reached STGCC at 3:30? We reached Marina Bay Sands at around 3, but I have to change into costume and walked around looking for a toilet that wasn't crowded. I was also really hungry since we didn't eat lunch. I was going all "ミサキ お腹空いた。 ミサキ、食わせて。ミサキ食べていいの?" wwwwwww well she can't understand that because she doesn't know Japanese ROFL. She's learning now though. redjuice's stage was at 3:45pm, and it ended at 5:20pm, so the day was almost gone! We walked around abit, and discovered a poster of Fushimi and Misaki in the event hall! Yes we took a picture with it LOL. Some people asked for photos with us that day as well, but not many. I think it was 3?
Oh, and there was this other pair of Fushimi and Misaki cosplayers, the Fushimi spotted my Misaki and went "Mii~ saaa~ kiii↑" really loudly. No joke. HAHA. Apparently he went around doing that every Misaki he spotted. My friend got freaked out x,D. The second time he did that I was like "Leave my Misaki alone!*wraps arms around protectively*" LOLOLOL. It was fun.
The day ended such, and I left for dinner. =w=Labels: 2013, cosplay, life, stgcc
Here's a quick update before I resume my prop-making for STGCC tomorrow!
Prop status: Sabre is left with hilt, sheath is left with painting. Told myself I'll sleep by midnight if not I'll get eyebags this next day but I doubt I can!
Costume modification: Collar cut off, open seams are ignored because I take too long to hand sew all that!! TT_TT I'm gonna leave the buttons where they are and fix them for the photoshoot instead. Wristbands are still pink. (Gotta fix that asap)
But that aside, what updates I've been planning are basically recent hauls (that's like almost what my blog content is about anyway omg. My life is boring.). I don't think I have the time to write and post on the spot, so I'll probably schedule them over the week(s).
I think I will bring my DSLR over to STGCC because I bought 1-day tickets in the end (to see redjuice!) so within the event hall I'll be carrying about a camera and shooting stuff. Will probably reject any photo requests since I can't just get rid of my DSLR like that. (That sounds really arrogant/presumptuous for some reason... it's not like I'm so popular/ikemen that people will ask me for photos LOL.) My mum said she wanna go and see me (LOL!) so my luggage probably will ask her to take care /hit
SO anyway, the point of that chunk up there was to say that I'll post up an entry (with photos, yes, finally) regarding STGCC after the event.
And then all the haul entries will gradually start updating (and I can hear my neighbours laugh from next door and it sounded so witchy :x).
After STGCC I won't be going to any events/cosplaying (save the K photoshoot with my friend) until December's Comic Fiesta in Kuala Lumpur.
Cosplays for that would be Senbonzakura Meiko (Japanese-influenced military uniform version) and Inu x Boku SS Ririchiyo (school uniform). Will have a photoshoot for Senbonzakura with my other friends (who are going Comic Fiesta as well) probably before we fly.
Oh, and I'll also be shooting for my friend's Skip Beat! Heel Siblings cosplay photoshoot in KL. Because we will be staying in a hotel, she said "why not take advantage of that fact and do a Heel siblings shoot there as well." I hardly shoot people, so this will be a good experience! Gonna have to read up that arc after my exams are over.
Okay! Quick update ends here, will post up the promised entries soon!

Hello hello!!
I'm blogging at 12 in the morning again ahahaha. I need to fix this sleeping pattern of mine before A levels come around uhu. Anyway, Singapore Toy Games and Comics Convention (STGCC) is this Saturday/Sunday! AND! I! am still not done with my prop. OTL. But it's alright, I discovered a friend who hasn't even started on anything LOLOL. I'm also super behind(??) on my budget orz I keep overspending (oi what's the point of a budget then).
I'm still deliberating on whether to buy entrance tickets to STGCC because:
a) There's nothing on stage I want to see. I'm not really a fan of the guest cosplayers although being able to see Aza is nice but that's alright.
b) I'm broke. I have to avoid the creators' corner/artist alley/whatever events in SG call doujin booths.
c) I'm broke so there isn't anything I can buy there anyway!!
And I'm going there just to meet up with my friends anyway... I'll be cosplaying Fushimi Saruhiko from K, AND. YES. I'm still half-not even half-way through my sabre-making process. I struggled with the synthetic leather for maybe an hour or so last night. And I can't just drop it because I'm cosplaying with my friend uhu. And also the costume I ordered from Taobao had a few minor inaccuracies I'm really nitpicky about... AND also the wristbands are pink. What. Pink? So I need to buy some fabric dye for that....Fabric dye is expensive TT_TT I could only find them in Spotlight and Spotlight is expensive. I also haven't styled my wig. And I plan to fix the inaccuracies such as moving the buttons (ocd yea ok) and removing the "collar" from the coat. I seriously felt FEEL damn cheated okay because what they sent over was really different from the image they put up on Taobao. Seriously. Cheated ):
I still need to buy foam and blue synthetic leather too ): Synthetic leather is so hard to find, but I haven't searched the entire People's Park Complex and if I still can't find it there I'll go to Arab Street maybe. And I also need to drop by Art Friend (they are in opposite directions despite being in the Bugis area...) I wanted to drop by Art Friend this evening but it turns out that Art Friend in Bras Basah Complex closes damn early! OTL
I should go back to making my prop. And I should find some daytime to spray paint the sabre. And I also need to cut a groove in it... Not sure how, or should I ignore that... (ocd) Haiiz. I forsee alot of improvising when I realise/discover some parts are not made how I like them to be (Come on face it, Liy, you can't make stuff like these perfectly ok). My money is disappearing like the wind.... *reaches*
Anyway, I think I will sleep at 5am tonight, like last night. And wake up at 10am lolol and then go to school and then I have tuition and have a dinner with some friends because one of them came back from London for vacation from uni... and then more chionging of prop or maybe study because I can't spray paint and I don't have time to buy the foam, leather and dye. So I can only buy everything on Wednesday hopefully... oh my god. OTL
Maybe tomorrow I can style my wig/do makeup test. Or alter my costume. I should drop by DAISO and buy $2 sewing kit. (I have no needles nor thread at home. I should build up a collection soon. Before I get my machine. Or when I get it. And also I'm really shy of the shop owners at People's Park Complex I don't even know why lolol)
Thus ends procrastinating post. Ch-chiong ah...! *weakly*
でわでわ

SO. I haven't done a proper post in really long and.... well... I think I'm really boring LOL. /hit
So anyway, KOC II in Tokyo (TRC) is coming soon!!! I hope my proxy will go to the event because some of my favourite circles are including novelties with their doujinshi. I'll probably mail-order instead for some of the circles though, because I can't afford the commission for so many circles ;v; I'll be getting an anthology through the event instead I think, because 100+ pages doujins somehow cost a lot more expensive when ordering from doujin sites. And I saw the novelty that the circle which organised(?) the anthology put up, for KOC II Osaka and it's so cute I want it ;_; I hope that KOC II will have that novelty too..
OHYES. And end of year Kuala Lumpur (KL) event Comic Fiesta! I'll be going to that event with a few of my friends. =w= wktk. First time going to an overseas convention. And first time going to KL lolol. I've only been to Penang, Johor Bahru and Malacca. Always wanted to go KL and see see.
The plans for that event will be Senbonzakura Meiko for Day 1 and Inu x Boku SS Ririchiyo for Day 2! Initially, my friend Mirai and her boyfriend planned to cosplay Senbonzakura Miku and Kaito, then when I asked Nanami about our cosplans, Nanami decided to cosplay with them so we ended up with a group cos fufu. But because we are tall people, we couldn't cosplay Rin/Len. (I still want to cosplay Senbonzakura Rin though, one day..) So we decided to cosplay Luka and Meiko, since they are tall characters hahaha! Now I want to cos Geisha Meiko... but the costume is so expensive and the wig is hard to find.. I might have to buy a normal long wig and style it myself orz. We are also planning a photoshoot for this~
As for the Inu x Boku SS cosplay, I'll be cosplaying with Nanami who will be doing Karuta.
Excited for Comic Fiesta and visiting KL! Malaysia's a scary place, but I've been to Malacca and JB... Like okay leh. But when I told my mum she was like telling me all the horror stories about crimes in Malaysia orz
Yesterday I also did a make-up costest for Ciel Phantomhive Robin version. I actually stuck on double false lashes wwww I put on one of Springheart's false lashes, then Diamond Lash half-lashes, and two different Dolly Wink bottom lashes wwwww It was quite uncomfortable lol. And I tried the gluestick method for concealing eyebrows. It's a pretty hard method to do properly. And I used so much concealor covering that damn thingggg!!
Oh, and seriously I think one can never get enough of makeup I'm just gonna go broke buying makeup zz =="
KATE released this new colour for their eyebrow mascara Eyebrow Colour In (?) and it's "skintone beige". I tried it out on my brow (yes because I have side fringe so it covers up like half of my face if I'm not careful. Kinda annoying. I don't know how anime characters do it) AND IT'S ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD. Well obviously you still get the eyebrow shape so I'll have to conceal it if I want to draw new brows... I'm actually pretty tempted to get my brows plucked and trimmed thinner the next time I get them done. =="
I also want to get some items from ettusais. Next time. And I also want to try this face powder selling in SASA. But it's so expensive it's $44.
Need to buy lenses too~~ (wait has this become a shopping list?!
OH YES. I've been watching FREE! and I think it's really a KyoAni anime to the end because it keeps making me laugh! Like Tamako Market (K-On not counted because it's adapted from a manga). And the guys are so good-looking and the art is actually really nice and also I realised on Friday that I'm actually older than high-school boys now so I'm like pedo-ing Makoto and Rin why. And I really like the ED Magi rip-off ARABIAN version and I want to cos that but it exposes the midriff I need to get some form of abs. My friend (are we friends, can we be considered friends? HMM I'd like to think of her as my friend but I'm not sure about her? But I guess we are lol) cosplayed ED Rin and I'M REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THE PHOTOS o(*w*)o
I know it's a really "over-hyped" anime and everyone's talking about it and it's like fujoshi fodder blabla but I'm watching it because I like swimming (I actually like watching shows with plot focusing around swimming esp competitive swimming) and it's KyoAni man! How can you not like KyoAni?! I'm actually looking forward to the animation for another of their CMs, Kyokai no Kanata. Ayakashi-themed leh! How can you not like. (Sigh, so many anime to watch. How do the Japanese keep up man. I'm like @A@ and I need to study ahh(悲鳴
Ah. Cannot. I really don't know how people manage to accomplish so much (actually I do. I should be slapped haiiz. I also want to learn butterfly. I never managed to master it because I couldn't get my basic form right. Maybe I should take up swimming lessons/refresher courses. I can only swim frogstyle properly www
Time to stop being so guzu, start being more productive!! A levels, cosplans, photoshoots (so that I can finally print coscard, and also I prefer photoshoot cosing now, unlike last time where I only considered cosplaying for events only, because last time I didn't know any photogs ahaha super anti-social. I digress), planning to draw more and blog more and sing more! (and hopefully dance!)
OH YA I actually forgot this.
I'll be making my K Fushimi Saruhiko SCEPTER 4 sabre from scratch (4 weeks to go!). I'm thinking of uploading progress shots, and maybe vague/rough explanations or directions on what I'm doing. But I'll be referring to various sword-making tutorials (AH AND I HAVE TO MAKE THE SHEATH TOO CRAP I keep forgetting about it. Does anywhere in Singapore sell sheaths. orz Because I really don't know how to make the sheath with the materials available in Singapore... need to hunt around more maybe uhu TT_TT)
Well yeah. There you have it. Excited to cosplay Fushimi and nervous because what if I can't look ikemen. I need to lost fat in my face. ==" Lose weight lose weight....
Righto! It's 1AM and I shall go to bed soon.

Konnyanssu!
I'm currently updating from my phone while on the way to the airport to receive my dad back from Macau.
The BonJapan cafe is still going on at time of writing, but my shift was over at 4PM.
I worked from 9AM - 4PM as part of the meido team!
Got to know many people and made a few friends. Hope to see many of them soon again~
Anyway, I borrowed my friend's meido outfit for the cafe. I wore my lolita pannier under it and it was so poofy! It's from Baby, The Stars Shine Bright. Finally got a chance to wear it out proper *tears*
Honestly, the work was rather relaxed and fun, and I'm not particularly tired except for my back because I can't stand for too many hours.
Due to some issues with the supplier for the chicken rice, I think there were many customers who got impatient and displeased, which we deeply regret.
Regarding crowd, I think many of us were expecting a more otaku crowd but most of the menu was the characters that were popular with kids and "normal" people as well so to honest, most of our crowd was normal people.
Alot of little kids, which we don't mind because they are so cute lol.
Our butlers were more popular though LOLOL they actually got to serve the meido/butler menu because there are more single girls LOL
And our Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji) actually fed one of the ojou-sama (1 spoonful only but lol why do they get the fun /hit)
I think we were quite qianbian (asking for a beating) because while our butlers were serving the menu, and about to feed the ojou-sama, we were like "say, ah" and dragged the ah rofl. Ok sorry.
Many of the guys who came for the cafe came with girlfriends or wives LOLOL so we can't do anything.
It's actually pretty hard to be moe to normal customers, and normal female customers even LOL.
Oh and cus there was that "power-up" spell thingy (meido cafe thing) we did that with some customers (normal) and some of them were like -stoned- "wtf was that um whuuuud"
Some did have fun doing it and some of the ladies were like "do it do it" to their male companions bc yes, the actions are pretty embarrassing for guys haha.
Our default spell is "Moe Moe kyuun" but I wanted to say "kon" as that's the sound a fox makes and I also had a fox hairpin on.
It goes "Moe Moe, kon-kon-kon!" sounds a bit like hitting sth but I like okeh /lolwut
But there wasn't any chance to bc we were all doing spells in pairs or groups.
Yep. And I want to lose weight (no link)
I think that's all to say for the event. I don't know how the dinnertime shift is handling it now but I'll prolly ask my friends who are working that shift.
Yup. Had fun, made friends. Not bad. Hahaha.
I still think I can't pose nor smile properly and I probably looked really tired bc I slept for like 5 hours? Yeah...
Okay! I shall end my post here~

Today was Cosfest Day 1! (Actually yesterday, since it's past 12 midnight now)
SO HOT BUAY TAHAN. Even inside the tent also hot =="
Anyway, met up with many people and took alot of photos but omfg damn ugly. orz
I need to take photos w people more often..... it's like, my friends look good but I'm like omfg wtfisthis. And my own zilians are good. But once I'm taking zilian with other people it becomes....... HAIIZ.
Oh, and I crossdressed today. Yeeeep. Cus I plan to cos Fushimi for STGCC so I thought I'd try out some guy makeup and also binding to see how it is for a day. I think not bad. I just need to learn how to pose and look good in photos other than my own zilians.
I also need to make my sword. Bloop. Gotta find some time to buy materials to make prop maybe next week Wed (since there's not class) or Thursday.
Mmm. Cosplay crowd.
SO MANY AJSLFKSJ NICE COSPLAYS THAT I WANNA ASK FOR PHOTO W BUT TOO SHY WHAT.
Got Karakuri Len, Noiz (Dramatical Murder), AMNESIA (omggg) and 1-2 Fanclub (which I also want to cos, but probably for photoshoot and make a PV lolol). Yeah. AND KUROSHITSUJI DOLL AND JOKER OMG THE JOKER DAMN GOOD LOOKING CAN I JUST.
Yep.
Surprisingly, Cosfest doesn't have alot of "trendy" cosplays, more towards classic and popular (like Vocaloid)
Maybe we'll see more trendy cosplays for STGCC or AFA.
I also bought REIKA's Shingeki no Kyojin photobook~ Yay so happy haha. The queue was super long, but my friend's friend, saw her friend in the queue (reaching her turn somemore) and so we tonpang. /hit Sorry I know it's like damn bad. :x
Yep. Tomorrow also going to Cosfest, and then I'll be having a DIY photoshoot at Vivo with my friend for our BonJapan stint.
DIY because my friend who was supposed to shoot for us can't make it so I'll be the one shooting my friend, and then giving my friend instructions on how to shoot me lol. Anyway, the photos don't really have to be damn nice so it doesn't matter. I guess.
Okay. Really tired, and I think I gotta wake up early tomorrow so goodnight~

Minna konnichiwaaaassu!
I've been really busy the past week, from last Mon til today! Actually, the event I was busy for is already over, but I've been busy catching up with what I've missed due to the event. And catching up on sleep, unpacking and packing stuff, while returning to reality hahaha (school *gloom*)
Anyway, just to briefly update here, I've been busy with the COSMO Youth Parade/SHINE Youth Festival held last Saturday at *SCAPE (Somerset)!!
Yes, I was part of the main crew at the event!
How it came about was that my friends were the PIKA PIKA Meido (Suzume started off the idea all by herself, and we all decided to join in with her! Isn't she awesome! And we have so many lovely community friends who gave us support and pushed us on, I'm really happy for Suzume!), and the organiser for COSMO contacted her to ask if she has any friends who are available to help out with them for COSMO as they are short-handed (after some conflicts led to a few people resigning)
Seinou and I were available to help out (and we could speak Chinese) and so it led to us becoming part of the crew as liaison for the cosplayers that COSMO invited! (YES KING X MON, MISA, YUI & SAFFRON!)
Our weekend started from Thursday morning and ended on Sunday noon! It has been a whirlwind of fun and excitement and while there has been issues, I will not blog/mention anything about it. The cosplayers have all been so very very nice and uploaded statuses on their Facebook pages to clarify all the rumours and criticism we have received. YUI also updated her blog, and it has been very interesting reading about our 4 days with each other through her perspective!
I actually blogged super super long on Thursday night after I reached home, but that will be a personal blog post I will not upload. It's full of spaz and craziness I don't think anyone will want to read it.
But I really have to say, the cosplayers are all really nice people.
Really miss them now! All I've been wanting to talk about these few days are the events over the past weekend and COSMO because I really miss the guests TTATT
Okay, so that was my weekend xD
Haven't gone to NND for over a week as well, and so many new songs have been uploaded, including O-tsukimi Recital and the next instalment of Mikagura School Suite! Haven't gone around to romanising these songs yet (except O-tsukimi, which I have done and uploaded here).
Oh, and new CDs are getting released, but I haven't got the money to buy them yet, because I just went Taobao and bought some cosplay stuff @A@ Maybe in August.
I also have to bring my MacBook into the Apple Service Centre (at Wheelock Place....) because the battery needs servicing :/
Despicable Me 2 is also now screening! Gonna ask my mum out to watch it next week. Did I mention I also watched Monsters University as well? It was really inspiring, that's all I have to say. But I still wanna get a degree. Gotta work hard for that. I have newfound motivation.
But if I really study, I won't be going online at all, so this blog will just be blank and empty.... and. Yeah...
I will try to update, especially when there's interesting things going on, but my posts will be really sporadic from now on. After my A levels okay!
OH YES. What's coming up soon this week is Cosfest! Really excited for Cofest because I wanna buy REIKA's photobook (SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN!!) and meet up with some of my friends I have not seen in really long! I'm really glad for cosplay and animanga, some of us, we really just continue being friends because of this even though we don't see each other often. I'm so glad I took a step out of my comfort zone and joined KiraCandy last year because I wouldn't have made so many awesome friends, met so many lovely people, and got to experience so many great things!
AND NEXT WEEK (13 Jul) IS BonJapan's Theme Cafe. Go visit their website and check it out, if you're in Singapore! I will be working there as one of the meidos~
BONJAPAN'S WEBPAGE FOR THE CAFE.
With this, I shall end this entry.
Will update again soon ((: (Really happy these few days eheh)

Hello hello~
AFA 2012 is over! Yeah AFA is over, it was super awesome :D
The humidity was killing me on both days though...Especially today, haha because I had makeup on lol.
Alright anyway, SATURDAY:
Arrived just after noon. Walked around Festival grounds for awhile before heading to Stage to catch K! :D K presentation was awesomeeeeee. KANAME's cosplay!! After watching Ep 5 I totally fell in love with Fushimi LOL. At first Yata was my favourite character, now Fushimi has totally upped him lolol (oooh burn). Anyway, during the K presentation, Danny Choo was the host, and for the first fifteen minutes they played a summary of what transpired during the last 6 episodes that have been aired. After that was a Q&A with the producer Go Nakanishi, and also for the peeps who don't know what K is about, an introduction of the story and the characters. There was also a video of the K web radio (Called KR). BUT! The web radio that was screened was a special, just for the fans outside of Japan! =w= It was interesting. And informative haha.
And then there was the cosplay contest, where the winner gets to go to Japan for the K event over there! And KANAME said that if he's free he'll bring that person for ramen, lol! There were a few Kuroh and Shiro cosplayers, and 2 Seri cosplayers. Ahh and I think it's really cool if Yata cosplayers can actually skateboard :/ But meh, that's just my opinion. AND. There was a super cool and really good Fushimi cosplayer! :D
Alright. Then after the K presentation, I went back to walking around the festival grounds. Didn't really get to do much (except spend money lol). Couldn't walk around too much as well, there were some booths I didn't manage to check out. Sword Art Online (SAO) booth was crazy though. The queue was insane! MAD! CRAZY! Like totally. Wow. SAO is way too popular.
COSPLAY CROWD FOR SATURDAY:
A lot of KuroBas. Saw a tall (real height) Murasakibara. As for the rest, they were short... with platforms... lol. Some of them were guys as well, and with platforms they only hit my height lol (my guess based on their surroundings). But the cosplay was good! Esp this Midorima who was actually a guy.
I heard there were a few Kirito (SAO) but I didn't see any.. But there were quite a few Ciel cosplayers. Mm, a few Vocaloid, heard that one of them is a friend of my friend. There was a really cool England cosplay! And Prussia + Genderbent Prussia. Nicenice.
Next next, to SUNDAY:
I only went for Marble Collection, so I didn't go in AFA today. Saved myself alot of money, it would seem, haha, thanks to my friend, who didn't really want to go in. She came just for Marble Collection. Marble Collection was also really great. It wasn't really how I expected it to be, so I'm not sure whether that's good or bad, but it was still a great show! Especially the part where they modelled Gothic Lolita clothing omg! All so pretty! The dance performances were also really good! And there was this super fan (of the dancers I assume) who was super enthu, he was swinging his lightsticks around dancing along to the dances. Somehow, it made me *sweatdrop* haha...
COSPLAY CROWD FOR SUNDAY:
A lot of Vocaloid this time round, lol. There was a full (almost; missing Luka) Senbonzakura group AND THEY WERE SUPER ACCURATE. Especially the shoes! I didn't really expect their shoes to follow the illustration/character design but THEY DID. Really take my hats off to them. Admire them sia!! They would be by far the best Senbonzakura cosplay I've seen just because of the shoes.
And there was also a Sailor Moon group cosplay, which was missing the title character, strangely. Maybe she was late, who knows. But, their shoes were also accurate. Just like the manga/anime. I heard they were foreigners, but anyway.
AND there was a Miketsukami (Inu x Boku SS) WITH THE TAILS THE TAILS THE TAILS. I really admire these kind of cosplayers sia. Especially those who cosplay kimono-type costumes, or those with large props like wings or BRS cannon. I wanna cosplay this kind of costume in future sia....
Right, and what other cosplays were there... Mmm. Well, can't really remember/name all of them. But cosplay crowd/quality for Sun was definitely better than Sat :p
Alright, I shall end the AFA event round-up post here. Byeee~Labels: 2012, afa, cosplay, life
Hello again!
Alright, so STGCC Day 2 = AWESOME.
I really enjoy going as cosplayer, but going a photog (like really amateur photog, but pro-er than those holding digicams and phones, lol) is also really fun!
Anyway, Day 2 was the day where PIKO has his stage segment!! Fangirl hour moment. Like seriouslyyyyy.
The first song he started off was Ama no Jaku, and I was like "OMG IT'S AMA NO JAKU OMG I LOVE HIS VERSION". I'm serious, not even saying it cus it's PIKO, but I really love the mixing and guitar in his version of Ama no Jaku.
And another time was when he started Nisoku Hokou... I literally screamed when I heard the first word. Cus I really really wanted him to perform Nisoku Hokou live! But seriously, I think I was so starstruck the entire time I can't remember anything properly. BUT I CAN REMEMBER THAT HE CHU-ED THE AUDIENCE (ie us lol) OMGGGGGG SPAZ during Nisoku Hokou.
And I think for the anime fans, he performed Sakurane. AND HE PERFORMED HIS NEW SONG "Make My Day!"! I went to read Binbougami Ga! just because I heard about it from PIKO. But, I don't like the manga.
He's reaaally cute, and I don't mean like "look cute", but his way of speaking!
Okay, then later had the "WALK OF FAME: PIKO" annnnddddd. Cus I already got his CD 2PIKO and it's the same one as they were selling at his booth, I could get his autograph! I also bought one CD for Natsumi cus she was cosplaying and she totally went MIA after PIKO's stage. And both CDs were signed :D Yay. Awesome.
And I was such a fangirl after that. Like seriously. Yeah. You don't even want to know, hahaha.
Okay, anyway, COSPLAY CROWD:
Day 2 cosplay crowd was lesser, and there were lesser groups, alot of duos/trios or solos. A lot of Vocaloid, and I've never seen those versions before (Like from what song etc) but Senbonzakura was really popular~
Oyea, there was Adventure Time (and Homestuck) cosplay. (Oh, and there was Korra and Amon on Day 1, and also Homestuck)
There was also Hetalia!! YAY! May the Hetalia fandom live onnnnnn haha. Last year there were a lot of Hetalia, two years back as well. It's cooling down though. NuraMago also, but I think it's because the manga is on hiatus?
Tegami Bachi guy was also back on Day 2 :P
Okay, so I didn't really buy anything on Day 2, I just went around taking photos. Ohoh, I saw this Gakupo/Kaito/Len trio that looked super cool (yes they were in uniform) but they were so cool I got intimidated. Plus they were "booked" by a photog who was giving them instructions (??). Yeahhh.
Okay la~ STGCC is pretty awesome, but I'm not really a regular. I didn't go to last year's event. But I catch every year of AFA lol. Sorry m(_ _)m
well~ I guess it's been a really great an awesome weekend ^^ tomorrow I'm going to karaoke with some friends from church! wkwk xD
Byebyee~Labels: 2012, cosplay, life, stgcc
Hello!
Went for STGCC Day 1 in cosplay.
It's late now, so I shall update this post tomorrow, along with a STGCC Day 2 post!
UPDATE :D
Hello, I'm back!
Anyway, one sentence to describe Day 1: PHOTOG WALLS EVERYWHERE
I don't know if it's because we're a group (w/ guns or something) or if the series is really that popular, but there were damn alot of photogs. It's like crazzzyyyyy.
And my arms got so suan because blazer + posing with shooting pose + try to look like you still have your neck and shoulders = pressing down my shoulders while extending my neck and having my arms as straight as possible. Um yeah.
And also, I bought lao hua yan glasses from Daiso because my character wears specs BUT I couldn't remove the lenses. And the glasses were +3.00 degrees. I couldn't SEE ANYTHING IT WAS LIKE BLUR EVERYWHERE. Couple that with flashes going off every second...
BUT.
It was fun, really fun. (:
The first part of STGCC Day 1 was really just posing for photographs and all that. Until around 3-4pm, Yuki had to go off, so after that we had our own activities~ Nanami went to find her friends I think, then I hanged around with Suzume and Natsumi~
I gave two tries for the Ichiban Kuji by BonJAPAN; 1 for Sentimental Circus, the other for Rilakkuma/ko-Rilakkuma. I got a tumbler for SentiCircus and a glass(as in cup) set for Rila, and it is the marine series! :D I don't think STGCC period was a lucky period for me...haha
Anyway, I went to Artist Alley after, and for me, most of the artists weren't the kind I like. But there was this booth selling keychains/phone straps/badges and they were really creative with the keychains/straps! And the drawings were really cute and adorableeee~ SO, I bought two sets of keychains:
1. Ao no Exorcist (8 chara + 2 mini phone straps) $15
2. Nurarihyon no Mago (6 chara + 1 mini phone strap) $12
Total is $27, so I got a freebie~ a badge of their OC :3
Rights. Cosplay crowd for Day1:
AWESOME LIKE HELL. (Actually I don't know why people use "hell"; I mean it's not an awesome place? :x)
Let's see, alot of doubles/same chara, but there were a lot of cosplayers on Day1
NuraMago, CCS, Ciel (and Sebas only on Day 2 lol; Day 1 all female Ciels), Vocaloid, as usual, and......... okay I can't remember. Oh, but I remember one Tegami Bachi cosplayer! OH AND TWO FREAKING SHUAI DAI COSPLAYERS OK I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY COS-ING BUT OMFG LIKE SHUAI DAO BAO. I'm sorry, I have a thing for guys in uniform, even though one of them might be a girl. *coughs*
I think that's all for Day 1. Not much action, but spent my time shopping, trololol.Labels: 2012, cosplay, life, stgcc
Hello hello!
Alrights! To start off, I'll be going to STGCC (both days) with some girls from KC and a few of us will be cosplaying for Day 1!
We're going to cosplay Basket Army (Busou Chuugakusei; 武装中学生) ^^
Need to do a cosplay test soon...
Anywaaaaay, I was just planning to go for Day 1 just for the cosplay, but then I found out that PIKO will be down for the second day! *cries* So I went ahead and bought 2-day ticket to STGCC after that....Sigh. Usually I only go for 1 day of events (Sat), because my Sunday is quite "small". I have weekly commitments in the morning til 1PM and later in the evening I have weekly family dinner.... So actually I only have like 5hours of free time, but I need to factor in travelling to and from the event so that's like only 3 hours of event time. Sigh.
Actually I used to go for the Sunday part of events, until my weekly Sunday commitments set in. Because! I have, once again, weekly commitments on Saturday afternoons from 4PM. Haiiz......... *sadlife* LOL no, actually I do quite enjoy the activities I've given my weekends to.
Okay, anyway, KC School Party is 2 weeks away! Yay yay~
Our event page on FB!
I'm neck-high with a lot of things I have to settle but have not started so I really have to chiong ah! Ganbarimasu!
Okie, shall end off this entry now(:
/need to spray paint props and buy last-minute prop (that I realised existed)Labels: 2012, cosplay, life, stgcc
